Massage

Dogs can feel the difference right away between “petting” and “Touch with Intent”  – similar to us gNorth Texas Canine Massageetting a pat on the back on the back... and a back massage!  Services are provided in-home (dog’s environment) and on a massage table if dog is able.  If not, massages will be given on the floor (wherever dog is most comfortable).

Texas Canine Massage ServicesDifferent types of Swedish massage techniques are used for each individual situation.  These include: Effleurage (long flowing strokes), petrissage (kneading), trigger point (applied pressure to a specific muscle), compression (gentle squeezing) and muscle stripping (applied pressure to separate long muscle fibers).  These techniques DO NOT include any chiropractic manipulation.

What to Expect

The most important thing I do initially is start a Trust Relationship with the dog.  Bonding and communication with your dog is essential.   I respect the dog’s space and “ask” for their permission to work -- all dogs are NOT the same!  They give me signals & communicate clearly (dogs are very honest)! I will work until we’ve reached the end of therapy for that session – or until your dog has told me they have “had enough” for that day!

Our first session will include a meet & greet, intake assessment, gait analysis/evaluation, and a short bodywork session (up to 1 hour).  Depending on your dog’s needs, subsequent bodywork sessions will range from 30-45 minutes.

Rates
Initial session - 1 Hour (includes Meet n' Greet, Needs Assessment and massage):  $60.00
Subsequent bodywork sessions range from 30-45 minutes:  $45.00
