Swimming is a safe and effective way to improve a dog's muscle strength, endurance, cardio respiratory endurance, range of motion and agility. It also helps improve their heart rate and oxygen level.
"This is a form of treatment for dogs that goes beyond words! As with people, hydrotherapy for dogs is so amazingly beneficial it does not compare with any other form of therapy. Hydrotherapy for dogs is one of the greatest investments you can make for your pet. It helps with so many illnesses and conditions it is impossible to describe in a few words." - Helga Schmitt, Health for Dogs

What to Expect at Your Dog's Session -
Some dogs will jump right in to the water and other dogs take a while to get used to it. They may be scared, so we'll need to be patient. Your dog is in an unfamiliar place with new people, and not sure what is expected of him. As your dog becomes more familiar with the pool, me, the surroundings and understands the focus is on him, he will relax and enjoy the swim session. The goal is for your dog to have fun -- and let the water do its magic!!!
How to Prepare Your Dog for their Session -
Using a Lifejacket -
Sometimes dogs are insecure in a new body of water and panic, splashing with their front paws and causing their back legs and hips to drop down in the water. A life jacket helps to keep your dog’s back and hips in good alignment, and teaches them how to swim correctly. If your dog has had surgery or an injury, the life jacket will also give them more confidence in the water.
Rates

5 sessions (package) - $275 ($55 each)

Sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of your dog(s). I allow an hour for each session. Your dog may or may not swim the entire time. This allows for enough time to potty, acclimate to the pool, swim and dry off at the end of the session. We are located in Reno, Texas (between Azle and Boyd). The pool is heated by propane, and is neither chlorine nor salt-water. (The water is treated through a process of oxygenation and Ultraviolet light!).
